Reverence

All boys are encouraged to attend Sunday School, which meets at the church. In a month we see a church parade. Every boy musts attend the Church Parade service, the attendance counts towards some of the badges. We also have a short devotional service on a parade night.

Discipline and Obedience

One of the first ways used from the start of the Boys' Brigade in 1883 to instill discipline and obedience was through drill exercises. It still has a place today. The Anchors and Junior Boys are taught basic movements and figure marching. The company Section boys learn more complicated movements. The 16th has a long tradition of excellence in drill competitions within the battalion.

Self-Respect and all that tends towards true Christian Manliness

By regular attendance, commitment and enjoying himself at Boys' Brigade, we hope to enhance each boy's self-respect and encourage him to accept Christian values.
